Deleting your data
Aivlin connects to Instagram and Google only on behalf of a business that chose to connect its own account. This page explains how to have everything Aivlin holds from those platforms deleted, whichever side of that connection you are on. Deletion is permanent, and we confirm when it is done.
If you are a business that connected an account
Either of the following deletes the stored access token at once, and with it every post, comment, conversation and message Aivlin holds for that account.
- From Aivlin. Sign in, open Settings, then Workspace, then Channels, and press Disconnect on the Instagram card.
- From Instagram. Open Instagram's Apps and websites page and remove Aivlin. Meta notifies us and we delete.
When a deletion request reaches us from Meta, Meta shows you a confirmation code and a link on the Aivlin host your business uses (/privacy/deletion/<code>) where you can check that the deletion is complete.
Google Ads
- From Aivlin. Sign in, open Settings, then Workspace, then Channels, and press Disconnect on the Google Ads card. The token is revoked at Google and deleted from Aivlin.
- From Google. Open your Google account permissions and remove Aivlin. The token stops working at once and Aivlin marks the connection disconnected.
The campaign definitions and aggregate statistics in your workspace are your own records and stay until you ask us to delete them, or until your workspace is deleted when you leave Aivlin.
If you commented on, messaged or clicked an ad from a business that uses Aivlin
You never signed in to Aivlin, so there is no account to delete. What Aivlin may hold is the comment or message you wrote to the business, your username and the id the platform assigned you for that business's account, the outcome of the conversation and, if you gave them, the contact details you agreed to share, with your consent answer. The words you wrote are deleted after 90 days in any case. To have everything deleted sooner:
- Ask the business. Tell the business, in the conversation or any other way, that you want your data deleted. It passes the request to us.
- Email us. Write to info@aivigator.com with the platform, your username there, and the name of the business's account. We delete every record of you within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted, and what is not
- Deleted: access tokens, posts and media Aivlin fetched or published, comments, direct message threads and their text, and per-post statistics.
- Not deleted by this process: content on the platform itself, such as a post the business published or a comment you left, which stays under the platform's own controls; contact details you agreed to share, which became the business's enquiry record; and records the business holds about you as its customer independently of any platform. You can ask the business or us to delete these under the rights set out in the privacy policy, and we act with the business.
